OK, look, I use to have a GoldWing before my Road Glide. Why did I get rid of the Wing, it basically removed me from the motorcycle experience. Don't get me wrong, the Wing is an awesome machine, it was just too smooth, felt like I was driving a car, and had gadgets to the yin yang.
Now my buddy, Mr. Mike, bought bluetooth headsets so he and his wife, who also rides, can communicate B2B during the trip. Ok, that makes sense, you may want to communicate that there's a hazard coming up to the rest of the group, you need a bathroom break, or tell me that my radio is too loud :p
Now the Road Glide comes with a standard CB radio. It even came with headsets and everything, but you would think that these bluetooth companies would at least allow you to use the stock CB with their wireless headsets. I know, I know, they have to make $$. I have to buy THIER headset so I can at least talk to my buddies. Why can't they at the very least, have an accessory that I can plug in to my CB so it can be paired with their headsets.
Am I going to buy one, reluctantly most likely, as I see the Sena device is not compatible with the Scala as well.
Am I losing some of the motorcycle experience, yeah I am, but at least I'll get to annoy Mr Mike during the entire two week trip, and that is going to be priceless :D

Proposed mods for the big trip
It's raining today :(
I wanted to at least go for a ride, but no need to go out in this weather unless I have to. So what did I do today.....surf. Surf the net to see what mods I can install on my bike for the trip.
Matt called this afternoon. He got my heritage style bars. He's going to give it to me at work tomorrow. I gave him my stock saddlebag supports (I installed bag guards on my RG Ultra a few weeks ago) as he wanted the "clean" look on his Road King. So last weekend we installed my ol' supports on his bike. He rode off a happy man.
Now that I'm getting the bars, it is time to start my mods. First I got to order some heated grips. Decided on the Harley Contoured Chrome and Rubber grips. Matches the crested bar & shield logo collection items I've already installed on the bike.

I'll order a few minor things as well to take advantage of the 20% online discount.
Lastly, I created this blog account, as I want to use one during the trip. Feel free to comment. Perhaps there are others that are better.
