I wanted to at least go for a ride, but no need to go out in this weather unless I have to. So what did I do today.....surf. Surf the net to see what mods I can install on my bike for the trip.
Matt called this afternoon. He got my heritage style bars. He's going to give it to me at work tomorrow. I gave him my stock saddlebag supports (I installed bag guards on my RG Ultra a few weeks ago) as he wanted the "clean" look on his Road King. So last weekend we installed my ol' supports on his bike. He rode off a happy man.
Now that I'm getting the bars, it is time to start my mods. First I got to order some heated grips. Decided on the Harley Contoured Chrome and Rubber grips. Matches the crested bar & shield logo collection items I've already installed on the bike.
I'll order a few minor things as well to take advantage of the 20% online discount.
Lastly, I created this blog account, as I want to use one during the trip. Feel free to comment. Perhaps there are others that are better.
whats up Lu, What all do u have on the bike so far as far as comfort??? This Blog is cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that the one item needed is a form of communication with the people that you'll be traveling with. Might I suggest the cardo scala rider G4 pro set! I here tell that it would work well with the companion units being used currently on such trips! Question, is this blog going to be used as a "diary" of the trip planned? might be an idea worth thinking about. More later and happy motoring!
ReplyDeleteNice Lu! I think you need a picture of the destination. I look forward to following your blog
ReplyDeleteNice.. why the bar change? Re: BT... the "HOT" set now is SENA SMH10. Sena is a international BT maker... industrial apps for global usage (Serious engineering) that decided to "foray" into the consumer market and it is now the "one." WebBikeWorld product of the year 2010. Talk to RocketMoto.com Owner is a rider, whiz at communications, etc...
ReplyDeletecool Lu !!
